Al-Nahda Residents
When our client approached us, their brief was simple and bold: create a mid-rise residence in Al Nahda that renters would choose first for light, outdoor space, and a clear identity on the street. We began with long walks around the neighborhood, measuring sun, wind, and traffic noise. That early fieldwork set the tone. Every apartment would get a usable balcony, deep roof shade, and glass that protects from heat and sound without dimming the rooms. Together with the client, we tested dozens of massing studies. The stacked, offset terraces you see came from those workshops. Pulling the corners forward opened diagonal views, while stepping the slabs back gave privacy between neighbors. The dark glazed envelope keeps the profile crisp, and the warm metal frames stitch the floors together so the building reads as one elegant figure from far away. At night, discrete linear lighting along soffits and fins gives a calm glow rather than a billboard effect.
